Lighting for G-STAR
In a collaboration with SignWise, we recently 3D printed a series of custom-made designer lamps, which are now showing off in the G-Star RAW Store in Antwerp.

SignWise is known as a creative and innovative manufacturing company that specializes in customized signage, objects, 3D facade advertising and interior design for various buildings. The collaboration between our industrial 3D printing setups and the expertise of SignWise has led to the creation of these unique light objects.
Design
With its sleek circular design, the ‘G-STAR’ Light invites gatherings and conversations, serving as a focal point in any room. Whether used as a dining table, conference table, or statement piece in a foyer, its timeless appeal and versatile functionality elevate any environment.
100% Recycled PET as Material
A striking feature of these designer lamps is the use of 100% recycled PET as material. This sustainable and environmentally friendly material is known for its good transparency and contributes to the pursuit of sustainable production. Using an industrial robot arm, the various shapes and large plates were 3D printed at 3D Makers Zone, where the innovative use of recycled PET enriched the aesthetics of the lamps.

The printed plates were then accurately cut to size by Snijmeesters’ advanced laser cutters. This process ensured that every part fitted perfectly. The installation took place in the SignWise workshop, where craftsmanship and attention to detail ensured a beautiful result of the designer lamps.
In collaboration with Sign-Wise
This advanced way of printing G-STAR Light wouldn’t be possible without the right software, which is where AdaOne by Adaxis plays a crucial role. AdaOne is specifically designed to control robotic arms used in large-scale 3D printing, transforming designs into printable machine code. It goes beyond basic functions to include part optimization, path planning, process optimization, robotic simulation, program creation, and process monitoring. In projects like the Model.C3, where iterative development is key, optimized process steps are crucial for success. AdaOne played a significant role in this aspect.
